What is it about?
In this paper we review three stereotypes commonly associated with people who hear voices and we discuss them in some detail showing why they are harmful. The paper was written with the young people of the Voice Collective. They also produced an animated video illustrating the stereotypes.

Why is it important?
Negative stereotypes triggered by unusual experiences such as being useless and dangerous are an obstacle to upung people achieving their goals and having meaningful interactions. So they should be openly challenged.
