What is it about?

In this chapter, the authors discuss their experiences of effectively incorporating disability studies into their public speaking classes. The goal of sharing pedagogical strategies as well as class assignments and activities is to inspire instructors and to provide them with the confidence to introduce discussions surrounding disability into their courses. The authors explore disability not just as a menacing factor for which faculty are burdened to accommodate, but rather as a formative, cultural, influential element that can enrich the experiences of all who are in the classroom.
