What is it about?
It is well known that the infections are frequent in the Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS). However, the MDS represents a very heterogeneous group of diseases with a middle life ranging from a few months to many years, so the patients suffering from MDS could be not treated or treated with intensive therapy. This review-article focalizes on the importance of the stage of the disease and its therapy in determining the rate and the type of infection.
