Why is it important?

Insight of consumption patterns i.e. how foods are consumed in relation to each other, are important to understand eating behaviour. These insights can be advantageously used to investigate impact of a specific dietary recommendations (increase or decreased intake of a single or combination of foods) on overall consumption pattern.

Perspectives

This new approach to dietary intake analysis give us a new insight into how combination of foods are consumed. This make us to think beyond what we already know and give forth to many new questions. In the answer to the these questions may lie explaination of eating behaviour and how it can be effectively modified for positive health outcome.
