What is it about?
Authors describe a procedure to obtained an autologous product from the shaving procedure of the cartilage septum which was effectively used for the treatment of defects in the dorsum of the nose and in alar cartilage defects promoting cartilage regeneration in patients with outcomes of rhinoplasty. A total of 14 patients affected by minor contour irregularities as nose defects in primary and secondary rhinoplasty were treated with the injection of fluid shaving cartilage. Long-term evaluation (up to 2 years) indicate cartilage regeneration in treated patients.
