What is it about?
Hepatocellular carcinoma is the most frequent type of primary liver cancer and one of the prominent causes of cancer mortality. Extracellular vesicles are membranous vesicles originating from several cells, which can be exploited as delivery vehicles for microRNAs, protecting them from degradation. This proof-of-concept study supports the development of innovative therapeutic strategies for liver cancer via extracellular vesicles-mediated microRNA delivery.
