Why is it important?
This research supports the role of occupational therapy in workplace wellness and encourages organizations to adopt a holistic approach to employee health and wellbeing that can be facilitated through an occupational therapy lens.
Perspectives

Workplace wellness is an underdeveloped field with limited consensus and understanding of best practice. I believe that occupational therapy, with its unique holistic training in physical and psychosocial perspectives, coupled with scientific rigor and ability to measure results, is an ideal leader for organizational workplace wellness programs.
