What is it about?
Liquid jets are widely used in cleaning operations in the ground deicing aircraft sector. The present work investigates heat transfer and momentum created by hot turbulent propylene glycol jet impinging on a horizontal plate at temperature below freezing point.

Why is it important?
This work is novel in that it is a first proposal of a mathematical model to study the process at the start of spreading liquid in aircraft ground deicing.
