What is it about?

A novel unsteady lifting-line formulation based on K\"ussner-Schwarz airfoil theory is developed for the aerodynamic solution of camber morphing wings. It yields the transcendental aerodynamic matrix whose rational approximation provides a state-space form of the aerodynamic loads. From their combination with a wing structural dynamics operator, the state-space form of the aeroelastic problem suitable for stability analysis and control purposes can be obtained.
