What is it about?
Aeroelastic analysis of highly flexible configurations relies on nonlinear structural models, that can describe large structural deformations, and often also on nonlinear aerodynamic models that can describe flow features at extreme conditions. The paper presents a computationally efficient nonlinear structural modal model, coupled with a nonlinear CFD-based aerodynamic model, and demonstrate its use on several test cases of highly flexible structures.
