What is it about?
The development of particulate-based therapeutic systems at the nanoscale – so-called nanomedicines – have shown significant promise as diagnostic and treatment tools for devastating diseases such as prostate cancer. However, the clinical use of these nanotherapeutics remains a challenge given the fact that the tumour biology is often overlooked in their formulation. To overcome this, we propose different strategies that could lead to more personalized and precise nanomedicines able to detect and/or treat prostate cancer with improved efficiency.
