What is it about?
Mixing/ complexting cyclodextrin to insoluble or poorly soluble drug like racecadotril to form the complex may lead to more soluble form of the drug which may lead to the better entry into the gastric fluid and hence the overall amount to the biological system shall reported to be improved. Types of cyclodextrin may play a role in solubility, dissolution and permeability enhancement.

Why is it important?
Improving water solubility of drugs is always beneficial with respect to the solubilization of drug in the aqueous based gastro-intestinal fluid which in turn may lead to better drug absorption and hence the better bioavailability. Higher the bioavailability of drug, more effective it shall be in lesser amount which shall not only be cost effective but also be associated with the least adverse effects and hence safer due to lesser amount of drug exposed to the peripheral distribution).
