What is it about?
This article tries to understand the flow characteristics at the inlet of stormwater detention unit. This is to determine whether congestion at the inlet during intense rain will be a problem for stormwater to enter the detention unit.

Why is it important?
To test whether modular underground detention unit is practical to be use for managing stormwater. Our findings show that the flow congestion at the inlet is not a problem as any turbulence will be dissipated rapidly by the multi-unit detention chamber design.
