What is it about?
Migration has always posed a challenge to countries hosting large populations of migrants. The Canary Islands have turned into a destination for many African people in vulnerable situations. The lack of adequate infrastructures plus the fact that African dialects are languages of lesser difussion in Spain make it difficult for human rights to be preserved in all situations. The article explores the situation and offers strategies to deal with it in a humanitarian way.
