Why is it important?

The editorial emphasises the importance of recognising subjective experience in research and highlights the role of art-based research methodologies as a means to gain agency for critique and to counter a sense of inevitability that has come to mark the most recent crises.

Perspectives

Art-based research practices provide a critical and accessible view on technology, sustainability, ecology, human well-being, heritage, and processes of decolonisation.
