What is it about?

This article describes three methodologies for creating research projects to bring visibility to the contributions of women artists to the archives of media arts. Combining archival research with creative methods, the methodologies include 1) reactivation, a curatorial feminist strategy based on the work by Mónica Mayer and Karen Cordero; 2) remediation to question the role of digital technologies in preservation, dissemination and re-mediation of old works into new ones and 3) reenactment a performative approach that seeks to restage events from the past to create them a new and thus propose other futures for our pasts.
