What is it about?

A widely agreed fact is that the early years of a child’s life can be a strong predictor of their development, but an often-forgotten category of children is Looked-After Children (LAC) (Harvard University, 2022). A generally agreed definition of a looked-after child is a child who is being or has been cared for by the local authority e.g. in a foster home or residential children’s homes, for more than 24 hours (NSPCC, 2022).
