We examine the approach and issues used by the leave and remain campaigns on twitter in the run up to the EU Referendum in June 2016.

Why is it important?
We find that leave focused predominantly on politics and immigration, while the remain focused on economics. We also explore how leave capitalised on the other side's errors and was more successful at agenda setting that remain.
