Why is it important?
In the wake of the 2014 Ebola outbreak in Nigeria, public service announcements (PSAs) were deployed on various media platforms by government and non-government agencies to create awareness and educate the public on preventive measures to take in order to avoid contracting the Ebola virus. Given the pervasive use of PSA as a channel for disseminating information on Ebola, it is beneficial to investigate if there are knowledge gaps about EVD and what attitudes college students have towards PSA. This will help improve future Ebola prevention education programmes especially for this critical population.
