Why is it important?

Little attention has been paid to the role of racism in creating and deepening mental health disparities for people from marginalized racial-ethnic groups. For real systemic change to occur, clinicians must acknowledge these dynamics, engage in regular self-reflection and and implement anti-racist practices.

Perspectives

We hope that this article makes anti-racism less of an esoteric thing, and more approachable and accessible to clinicians and researchers from diverse backgrounds.
