What is it about?
In this paper, the exact series solutions in terms of Fox H-functions are obtained by using Laplace transforms for velocity and shear stress fields of an incompressible flow of MHD fractional order Oldroyd-B fluid over an infinite oscillating plate with slip condition. The solutions that satisfy all the initial and boundary conditions, can easily be reduced to equivalent solutions for ordinary Oldroyd-B fluid, fractional order Maxwell fluid, ordinary Maxwell fluid, ordinary second grade fluid, fractional order second grade fluid, fractional order Newtonian fluid, and classical Newtonian fluid. The solutions accompanying no-magnetic field and no-slip condition are also recovered as special cases of our general solutions. Finally, the impact on the fluid velocity and shear stress for the pertinent parameters is graphically underlined and discussed.
