What is it about?
The study discuss ways in which switching losses in DC-DC converter can be mitigated. This will optimise the efficiency and perfoemance of these converters. soft-switching significantly reduced switching losses in DC-DC converter and enable high frequency operation.

Why is it important?
High frequency operation in DC-DC converter significantly increase the converter power density, reduced the size of the filter and electromagnetic devices and Low electromagnetic interference (EMI). However, at high frequency, high switching losses is evident. To optimise the efficiency of high frequency converter, switching losses can be effectively reduced by using a soft-switching techniques.
