What is it about?

Driving safety is crucial for the lives of drivers and passengers. Traditional centralized driving assistance methods, reliant on navigation systems, often suffer from issues such as information delays, data silos across different systems, and inadequate real-time accident recognition capabilities. To address these challenges, this study introduces a decentralized driving safety mutual assistance mechanism that aims to enhance road safety through seamless data sharing technology among vehicles. This mechanism integrates blockchain technology, the Gossip communication protocol, and 5G communication networks to create a secure and efficient real-time information exchange ecosystem, enabling vehicles to share safety-related critical information in real-time. Its core objective is to effectively reduce accidents and casualties through proactive risk warnings and information dissemination, fostering a collaborative network of mutual aid among vehicles, and creating a safe driving environment. The decentralized system bolstered by blockchain technology ensures data integrity, immutability, and privacy protection, enabling vehicles to share accident records, traffic anomalies, and road conditions without the need for centralized certification. Additionally, the Gossip communication protocol leverages its rapid and robust information dissemination capabilities in distributed networks to swiftly disseminate security alerts, ensuring every member of the network receives critical updates promptly. Finally, simulation validation demonstrates that the Gossip 5G mechanism proposed in this paper can efficiently transfer data between vehicle nodes within blockchain networks.

Why is it important?

Life is the most precious gift in the universe.

Perspectives

If possible, we will delve deeper into areas such as automotive visual recognition, real-time information collection, the seamless integration of the Gossip communication protocol with 5G networks, and its enhanced integration with blockchain technology. Utilizing smart contracts and other functionalities, we aim to enhance the safety, intelligence, and automation of vehicle driving. Using new technology to reduce the number of deaths in accidents is a cause worth doing for scholars.
