What is it about?

Using well defined models and representations to design incident response in a more disciplined way, properly structuring relevant knowledge and making it accessible for use when an incident occurs

Why is it important?

Relying on disciplined models and representations helps to design incident response better, especially with respect to understanding the context of the incident and the response.

Perspectives

The current design of incident response playbooks is not research-informed, and lacks discipline and rigor. A model-based approach can provide a much needed infrastructure for proper design of incident response.
