What is it about?

This study aimed to analyze the effects of core materials, remaining tooth structures, and interfacial bonding on stress distribution in endodontically treated teeth using finite element analysis (FEA).

Why is it important?

FEA assuming fracture of adhesive interface proved to be an effective method to clarify the significance of ferrules. It prevents stress concentration in dentin by reducing the rotation of the abutment, even when the adhesive fails.
