What is it about?
China and Africa bilateral trade boomed since the 1990s, which some are claimed to have been driven by a search for oil. However, existing claims have largely provided anecdotal evidence to make such a point. Consequently, trade is classified sectorally and the role of political stability and corruption as the likely institutional structures variables that stimulate or deters trade in this region were examined.
