What is it about?

Quantum physics and relativity, which are fundamental frameworks for comprehending reality, have so far resisted unification into a universally accepted framework. While quantum field theory successfully unifies electromagnetism, weak nuclear force, and strong nuclear force, gravity remains a challenge. However, relativity accurately models gravity, though it does not integrate seamlessly with quantum mechanics. Our previous work proposed that consciousness, matter, and energy interplay to create reality, suggesting consciousness and change as fundamental to causation. We explore how consciousness offers a new perspective on relativity's causation, suggesting that gravity arises from consciousness preserving awareness during interactions with matter and energy. Through this lens, we reexamine both the special and general theories of relativity, demonstrating how they can be understood as manifestations of preserved awareness. This framework unifies relativity and quantum mechanics under a common foundation rooted in consciousness, offering new insights into the nature of reality. Why is it important?

Exploring the hypothesis that consciousness underpins gravity and quantum mechanics holds significance on multiple fronts. Firstly, it epitomizes the essence of scientific inquiry by pushing the boundaries of existing knowledge and challenging established paradigms. Through this exploration, new avenues of research may emerge, potentially leading to groundbreaking discoveries. Secondly, the interdisciplinary nature of this inquiry bridges concepts from fundamental physics and consciousness studies, fostering collaboration between traditionally separate fields. Such interdisciplinary dialogue enriches our understanding of complex phenomena and encourages novel perspectives on age-old questions such as dark matter, dark energy, non-local reality, and the observer effect. Moreover, delving into the relationship between consciousness and fundamental physics prompts profound philosophical reflections. These discussions probe the very nature of existence, perception, and consciousness itself, offering insights into the mysteries of human experience, knowledge and reality. Finally, the exploration of consciousness holds significance for scientific creativity, interdisciplinary collaboration, philosophical inquiry, and the potential for practical applications in various domains of philosophy, science and technology.

Perspectives

Over centuries, science has modelled reality based on observations and correlative phenomena in nature, which is indeed phenomenal. However, today we are in an era in which we need to unify silos in physics and develop a comprehensive framework for understanding reality, including dark matter, dark energy, observer effect, and non-local reality. For this, we need to delve into causation rather than observations and correlations. Consciousness, which is the foundation of experience, understanding, and interpretation, would be the key to redefining a unified framework for science and philosophy. In this research, gravity and quantum mechanics have been unified through consciousness and established as the causation of reality.
