What is it about?
This 10-year study in adolescent twins showed that individual variation in binocular rivalry (BR) rate is under substantial genetic control. It was the first large-scale genetic study to report such a finding for any post-retinal visual phenomenon, and supported the use of slow BR as an endophenotype for BD. This study was also the largest BR dataset published to date and confirmed the high reliability of the rivalry test.
