What is it about?
In this paper, we have sent a shock wave through crystals and glassy substrates and studied effects of compression in them. A lot of these materials are important in shock wave detection experiments. In particular, glasses and polymer materials have been used in detonation studies extensively. We have doe a systematic study on these materials and analyzed their behavior under shock, to understand their roles in shock compression mechanism.
