It allows graduate SLP further learn and understand various neurogenically based conditions and develop a sense of empathy and ability to communicate with family members and effectively

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to family members and students contacting me and ultimately to a greater involvement in pursuing further research with larger samples
