What is it about?
Usually and by navigation satellites, the location of a point on Earth's surface is delivered in X,Y,Z coordinates from Earth's center. It is important to compute the geographic coordinates which are the longitude, latitude, and height above the ellipsoid. This computation is not straight and needs iteration. This article proposes a new method to compute the height.

Why is it important?
The findings show that the height can be easly computed by an approximate equation with high accuracy.
