What is it about?

Human decision-making is embedded within algorithms. Algorithms are more human than they appear.

Why is it important?

Algorithms look like perfect calculating machines, but they aren't.

Perspectives

The way people handle decision-making, especially the way they delineate their problem space, is reflected in their design of algorithms. If you understand the person who designed the algorithm, you should be able to see this reflected in their work. This includes the heuristics or shortcuts they have used.
