What is it about?

This research delves into the significance of role-modeling leadership in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). While effective leadership is crucial for SMEs to navigate today's business challenges, it remains an under-explored area of study. The study establishes role-modeling leadership as a distinct leadership style and investigates its effects within the context of SMEs and larger organizations. Drawing on data from 371 employees in the UK, the findings reveal that leader identification influences role-modeling leadership, which subsequently impacts leader-member exchange, job stress, job satisfaction, and turnover intent.
