What is it about?
The utility and comparison of PLA2R IHC with ELISA and IIF for accurate diagnosis of primary MN
Featured Image
Why is it important?
PLA2R IHC has a higher sensitivity and specificity with cost effectiveness and persistent results than IIF and Western Blot. This serves to provide an accurate and fast diagnosis for primary MN especially in situations where antiPLA2R antibodies in serum are negative.
Perspectives

PLA2R IHC is difficult to standardise, however it provides persistent accurate results and serves a very important diagnostic tool in tertiary care referral centres where antiPLA2R offer no help in diagnosis.
