What is it about?
Z' is an indicator about complexity, namely an indicator about some very subtle inter-molecular interactions which gives some hint about equilibrium configurations.

Why is it important?
Z' can reveal the importance of some specific interactions in modelling crystal structure
Perspectives

Z' which is tabulated for every published structure is not a priori considered as primordial. It does however reveal very interesting details in a structure which are very for a deeper study of intermolecular interactions.
