Vernonia amygdalina is effective in the management of type 2 diabetes

What is it about?

type 2 diabetes was induced in rats using alloxan. V. amygdalina was incorporated into diets fed to the experimental animals. the nutrient composition of the diets and their nutritional quality were determined. The histopathology of vital organs was evaluated. The pancreas of diabetic animals was regenerated.

Why is it important?

It is necessary to establish the role and efficacy of V. amygdalina in the management of type 2 diabetes
