If income differences among regional economies are not reduced, then policies directed to promote regional growth will have reduced impact.

Why is it important?
Our findings show that regional economies should evolve in a homogeneous way to improve the well-being of the population.
Perspectives
I hope that this article increases the concern on income inequality as one of the main problems that economies face in their processes of growth. Also, I consider that this article will stimulate other works on this subject because the database used here allows creating other works.
