Why is it important?
HCII has consistently gathered some 2000 professionals from about 60+ countries to share research and design ideas as well as concrete accomplishments. The range of topics is very wide.
Perspectives
I have been fortunate to participate in the HCII conferences since the 1990s, and now head my own sub conference: Design, User Experience, and Usability (DUXU) which takes place in association with HCII.
