What is it about?

This book explores how organizations seek to kill and exploit the monsters inhabiting their environs - whether aliens and superhumans in the sci-fi entertainment industry, organic-synthetic chimeras in agribusiness, or humans who are deemed monstrous because we transgress social, bodily and aesthetic norms. Further on, the book seeks to articulate the possibilities of more diverse, more joyful and more responsible organizations by developing a positively monstrous theory of organizational life.
