Bioefficacy of essential oils from selected plant products was investigated. Contact toxicity studies of essential oils from Ocimum basilicum, Cymbopogan nardus, and Lavandula hybrida on the Kolanut weevil Balanogastris kolae indicated that 10% of O. basilicum and L. hybrida oils will cause mortality of the weevils within four hours
