What is it about?

Bioefficacy of essential oils from selected plant products was investigated. Contact toxicity studies of essential oils from Ocimum basilicum, Cymbopogan nardus, and Lavandula hybrida on the Kolanut weevil Balanogastris kolae indicated that 10% of O. basilicum and L. hybrida oils will cause mortality of the weevils within four hours

Why is it important?

Infestation of Kola nut may be controlled y the use of essential oils from Ocimum basilicum and Lavandula hybrida
