What is it about?
This is a practical examination of the ethics involved in co-writing an article. My co-author and I present a case study of our experiences in writing a paper together and consider possible ethical implications. We consider what ethical engagement could look like in peer collaboration.

Why is it important?
We bring the politics of ethical engagement to the forefront of the writing process and encourage the reader to consider how ethical engagements must continue past fieldwork. We give a first hand experience of struggles we faced and work we took on as a way to model what we considered to be ethical for our collaboration. We consider collaboration to be a valuable category of engagement, but found that neither of us had been given comprehensive, practical roadmaps for what this could look like in terms of ethics. This practice-as-research project can serve as a case study of what peer co-writing can look like.
Perspectives
Writing this article with Morgan was a new, but pleasurable experience. Working in collaboration on this writing project made me realize how little I question my own authority or perspective when writing alone. It was refreshing to practice my ability hold ideas loosely and to prioritize the collaboration over my own individual thoughts and desires.
