What is it about?

This research estimates the incubation period and other predictors of SARS-CoV-2 for different countries with varying climates. The incubation period ranges from 2.5 to 10 days, with an average of 6.5 days. The critical immunisation threshold, basic reproduction number, and steady state population for SARS-CoV-2 are also calculated.

Why is it important?

The countries included in the study are the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Spain, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Cyprus, India, France, and the Syrian Arab Republic. The SEIR epidemic model and Runge-Kutta simulation method were used to estimate the forecasting predictors. The study found that the average incubation period for SARS-CoV-2 is 6.5 days for different location countries, with a range of 2.5 to 10 days. Additionally, the average values for the critical immunisation threshold, basic reproduction number, and steady state population were 0.5, 2.3, and 0.5 respectively.

Perspectives
