What is it about?
Extradinary amont of low-fequency noise is generated by placing a plate close to a high-speed jet. This is caused by the interaction between the jet and the plate. This has an great implication of noise generated from an earoengine installed under a wing. A high-fidelity simulation using supercomputers has sucessufully perform to reproduce this phenomena from first principles, providing invaluable databese for noise generation mechanisms research.
