What is it about?
Due to its capability of performing very long duration flights, at much lower altitudes than satellites, High Altitude Long Endurance (HALE) aircraft have received increased attention from the aerospace community. Although most of them include propellers, the aerodynamics and inertial influences of the propeller are usually not taken into account. This work investigated the influence of the different propeller effects on the aeroelastic response of a representative HALE aircraft.
