What is it about?
We demonstrate the use of bifurcation analysis to study limit cycles and nonlinear frequency responses to investigate pilot-induced oscillations due to actuator rate limiting. Our results of the Space Shuttle Enterprise is the first time the 'flying qualities cliff' phenomenon is characterised using bifurcation analysis.
