What is it about?
Simulator experiments with experienced flight crews have taken place to evaluate new cockpit technologies, which indicate the boundaries of the safe flight envelope. It has been found that these indicators can assist the flight crews in preventing loss of control in flight.

Why is it important?
Loss of control in flight is currently the most important primary cause of accidents in civil aviation. Possible precursors of loss of control are technical malfunctions, external disturbances and loss of situational awareness of the flight crew, all of which can occur alone or combined. The technologies discussed in this paper can assist in preventing this loss of control in flight.
