What is it about?

This article presents a method for estimating noise levels of future hydrogen aircraft concepts that use propeller based propulsion systems. The method calculates how noise emission for these aircraft changes relative to current generation aircraft. The noise levels are outputted in a format known as Noise-Power-Distance (NPD) curves, which are useful for the generation of noise exposure contour maps around airports.
