What is it about?
The review consider of the main uses of lactose in human nutrition and in the pharmaceutical industry and the problems lactose-intolerance. But despite this the lactose is combined with other substances as alternative to improve its pharmaco-technical properties.

Why is it important?
The review show the top-ten most consumed drugs in Spain, alone or in combination with other drugs, which in their composition contain lactose. All of them have therapeutic alternatives without lactose maintaining the same pharmaceutical form, with the exception of acenocoumarol
Perspectives
In this article I considered what a person can ingest sugar after prolonged treatment, thanks to part of the researchers with a pharmaceutical training.
