What is it about?
Brain injury around the time of birth causes lasting damage that prevents typical functioning for the whole life. This review highlights, that it isnt just that the brain is damaged, but that there are ongoing active changes in the molecules, pathways and cellular function that are viable targets for improving brain health and functions. We collect together all the clinical data and pre-clinical work that shows tertiary phase treatments can be effective.
