Why is it important?

It is important because it considers how the situation that has emerged in response to UK government led initiatives to drive research have meant that those who are employed to teach construction and engineering in HE institutions commonly are required to have research ability rather than industry experience. This consideration is done in light of its implications for teaching.

Perspectives

This think piece presents a number of ideas from related papers in a short précis form but specifically on the impact on student pedagogy and learning.
